Transfinder Flashback: Teamwork!

Summertime is the busiest time of year for our support teams. School districts’ transportation departments are getting ready for their first day of school and everyone is working feverishly to make it the smoothest opening ever.
Because it is so busy, people in other departments are fielding calls and assisting clients as well. Summer inside school transportation departments is similar to what Black Friday is for retailers.
Times Union reporter Larry Rulison did a great job capturing this in an article last week. You can read it here: “It’s All Hands on Deck This Time of Year at Transfinder.”
The day the story appeared in papers, I sent a note to all 100 Transfinder employees who work in three different locations, our headquarters in Schenectady, New York; Austin, Texas and Shanghai, China.
Here’s what the note said:
Good morning, Transfinder Team!
When I say “team”, I really mean it. We are a team. Like a football team has an offense, a defense and special team’s unit, we have different parts that make up the whole. Each specialized in their area.
We may be separated by a floor, a few states or even an ocean, but we are one team working toward one goal: providing the best solutions and service to the best clients so we can be the best in the industry.
If our development team wasn’t making amazing products, our sales team wouldn’t have anything to sell. If our implementation, support and training teams didn’t offer exceptional client care, then we would not keep our clients.
See, it takes all of us, working together. Your dedication to our clients and the team is very much noticed and appreciated. Now the world knows, too, how great you all are.
Thank you, Team, for taking Transfinder to the next level. For those of you in our Schenectady Office, see you tomorrow for the Transfinder Summer Appreciation Luncheon on the terrace.
See, customer service means a lot to us. I wrote on this topic in a previous blog post. It was a big honor to have our exceptional customer service recognized by the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce, when we received the Customer Service & Loyalty Award last year.
But it takes teamwork. Every member has a role and often you have to go above and beyond to meet your clients’ needs. It’s why we have staff working Saturdays and Sundays.
We know our clients are!
