The Transfinder Tree 2024 - Giving Back to Schenectady!
This year’s tree is proudly sponsored by Transfinder. The Transfinder Tree is 45 feet tall and 25 years old. Supporting the tree is a custom steel base that weighs nearly 1,000 lbs! A 24 inch star, 16,000 lights, and over 600 ornaments add the final touches to the tree.
Transfinder wants everyone to be a part of celebrating. You can share a birthday, holiday greeting, or message from Santa on the Transfinder Tree screens.
You can even interact with the tree! Watch the Transfinder Tree Cam and see yourself on the big screen.

Here are some of the fun things community members will experience on the Transfinder Tree screens:
- See many fun holiday images and festive videos
- Stop by and wave at the “Transfinder Tree Cam!” See yourself on the screen with the live Transfinder Tree Cam.
- Share your pictures to show on the montage on the Transfinder Tree screens. Upload your photos from around the tree or elsewhere and see them on the Selfiefinder montage.
- Share a holiday greeting or a message from Santa this season! Your message will appear on the Transfinder Tree screens on the date you choose. Scan the QR code or visit transfindertree.com to submit your request.
- Holiday Trivia: See if you can guess the answers to some fun holiday trivia.
- Countdown to Christmas: See the real time countdown to Christmas.
