Schenectady, NY – Oct. 5, 2016 – Transfinder announced today the winners of its first Summer Grant promotion that offered up to $10,000 to participating school districts.

The theme of the Summer Grant ’16 promotion was “I Can Be Anywhere With Transfinder,” highlighting the global logistics software developer’s products that free clients from their desks and provides them with instant access to data on their mobile devices.

Districts used Transfinder’s own social media platform Selfiefinder to capture images such as a school bus on the beach or stuck in the snow. Submissions came from California to Maine and everywhere in between.

Impressed with the quality and the quantity of the submissions, Transfinder President and CEO Antonio Civitella decided to expand the number of districts receiving prizes. The top three winners were:

• First Place: West County Agency in California
• Second Place:
  • Canyon ISD in Texas
  • Lucia Mar in California

An additional 18 school districts also received smaller grants. Those districts are:

• Brunswick SD in Maine
• Chino Valley ISD in California
• Churchill County SD in Nevada
• Coxsackie-Athens CSD in New York
• Eastwood Local SD in Ohio
• Flagstaff USD in Arizona
• Franklin County CSD in Indianapolis
• Jefferson County Schools in Colorado
• Johnson City SD in New York
• Long Branch PSD in New Jersey
• North Kitsap SD in Washington
• Northwestern CSD in Indianapolis
• Olympia SD in Washington
• Penfield CSD in New York
• Robinson CUSD #2 in Illinois
• Tahoe Truckee USD in California
• Tully CSD in New York
• Walton CSD in Florida

“All these school districts deserved some prize because of their creativity and the fun they brought to this promotion,” Civitella said. “We wanted the Summer Grant promotion to celebrate the school districts that we serve and by the submissions we received I can say it was a great success.”

Districts may use their Summer Grants on a range of Transfinder products and services that will help them operate their school districts’ transportation offices efficiently and smoothly.

Because of the success of this year’s initiative, Civitella said he planned to run a Summer Grant ’17 promotion.
