Schenectady, NY – January 3, 2011 – Transfinder, a national leader in transportation management solutions for school districts, today announced that it has promoted two of its employees. Joseph Rossi has been promoted from Sales Manager to Director of Sales. Rossi will continue to oversee the sales organization while taking a greater role in the strategy and revised structure of the sales operation as the company expands its reach into Canada and other countries. Terrell Doolen has joined the sales organization as a Professional Services Consultant after serving as Technical Support Manager. In this role Doolen will provide customized advice, training, and support for clients on specific projects, including advanced training sessions, project management, accelerated software implementation services, or route reduction and efficiency planning.
Rossi has over nine years of sales experience within Transfinder Corporation. After earning his Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York College at Geneseo in Business Management in 2001, Rossi joined Transfinder as Business Development Representative. Rossi quickly expanded his role within the company to Sales Analyst and within a year to Inside Sales Manager in 2004, creating a new framework for the sales organization. The new framework accounted for an increase in new clients from 96 in 2004 to 151 in 2005. In 2008 Rossi assumed the role of Sales Manager overseeing the entire sales organization. Rossi has played a significant role in the company’s growth as it has expanded its client base to its current 1,400 clients in 47 states, including Canada.
Doolen oversaw the technical support staff at Transfinder for three years. He has over ten years of experience in customer service and technical support, and was influential in reshaping and improving the customer service that Transfinder provides, ensuring that appropriate staffing and resources are committed to every support request received. Prior to joining Transfinder, Doolen worked at Yahoo, Inc. in California. He holds a Bachelor of Science in secondary education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Antonio Civitella, president & CEO of Transfinder, said, “It is important to have a committed team who believe in the services we provide to school districts helping them to safely and efficiently transport their students.
