Transfinder Adds Three-Person Marketing Team

Increases employment to 45 – representing 36% growth over last year
Schenectady, NY – December 29, 2008 – Transfinder, a national leader in transportation management and communication solutions for school districts, today announced it has added three new employees to create a new marketing and communications office. Total employment is now 45, representing a 36% increase in number of employees over last year at this time.
The marketing team is led by Barbara Kane Pilliod, who joined Transfinder as vice-president of marketing and communications, responsible for developing corporate branding and marketing and PR strategies to support growth in current and new markets. For the past three and half years Pilliod led the advancement communications team of the fundraising arm of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, which successfully reached its $1.4 billion campaign goal in October. During this time she produced several award-winning marketing programs, including the latest institutional video for Rensselaer, which has garnered several high-profile international and national awards. She also was marketing director for the Lally School of Management & Technology at Rensselaer and has been a marketing and PR consultant for several high tech companies in the Capital Region.
Joining Pilliod is Robb Snyder, who joined Transfinder as marketing manager on December 15, and is responsible to develop marketing campaigns and collateral materials to support the sales teams. Snyder was marketing coordinator at docStar for the past six years where he developed an extensive portfolio of e-marketing programs, including the company’s new website.
Rounding out the team is Bridget Swick, who joined Transfinder as communications specialist in December, and is responsible for developing customer and prospect communication programs and also will assist with marketing programs and campaigns to support sales. Prior to joining Transfinder, she was an administrative assistant for several advancement officers at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where she prepared fundraising materials to support communications with donors.
