One Region 8 school district is using new technology to help track their buses.
It's called Transfinder, and it's a system that the Paragould School District will soon have on its buses.
Assistant Superintendent Scott Guantt said with this new system they will be able to maximize the efficiency of their bus routes.
“It's gonna help us map our routes,” Gaunt said. “It's going to help us track our student transportation needs better. It's going to help us get our information out to our parents better.
They'll be able to go to our website and see things like snow routes as opposed to our normal routes.”
Gauntt said the most important feature of this new program is helping ensure the safety of students.
This system will also track student and bus movement in real time.
