Displays longitude and latitude coordinates for 440 State Street
Schenectady, NY – October 4, 2013 – Transfinder, a leading provider of transportation management solutions for more than 1,500 school districts in North America and the Caribbean, today announced the unveiling of the company’s sidewalk plaque placed at the entrance of its new headquarters. The rose compass design displays the exact latitude and longitude coordinates, 42.812188 and -73.941243, for 440 State Street.
The plaque represents the roots of the company’s core business, which utilizes advanced Geographic Information Systems to map and visualize student locations for the safe and effective transport of students to and from school. Mayor Gary McCarthy and Metroplex representatives will join company president & CEO, Antonio Civitella, in the unveiling.
According to Civitella, “Unveiling the plaque is a symbolic way to welcome our employees into their new offices and to showcase Transfinder’s core concept of location intelligence to the community at large.”
