District Rerouted to Deliver Meals During the COVID-19 Pandemic

The food service department coordinated with the elementary, middle and high schools to assign the number of lunches and breakfast care packages that need to be made.

Breakfast and lunch packages are distributed each day at all elementary schools from 11:00am - 12:30pm.

In addition, the transportation department is used to deliver meal packs to low income areas, because those students may not have a way to get to the elementary schools.

Meals are provided beyond just the public-school students. They are available for anyone under the age of 18, including private, parochial and siblings, so students with younger siblings are also given a meal pack.

To get the word out, notification for deliveries were sent out from the Central Office via the Infinite Campus student information system to parent emails. In addition, phone calls were made.
